How do I register?
Log on to the Adventurexchange website
Click the register link which is on the left of the homepage
Fill in the required registration details
Click the submit button
You will now be sent an email which includes your registration password

Why do you need my e-mail address?
Your email address is the way of our contacting you. It is important that you register your email address correctly as any email that are sent to you to the site will be delivered here. If you change your email address make sure you update this within the’ change email’ section on the homepage. Please be assured that your email address will not be divulged to any party.

I’ve registered but I haven’t received a validation email?
A validation email is sent out immediately to the email address that you have registered with us on submission of your registration details. If you have not yet receive this email then the most likely reason is that you have not provided us with the correct email address. Please double check that you have entered the correct email address with your registration details. If you change your email address a new validation code will be sent.
If this doesn’t help then send us your details and we will contact you when we have registered them.

How much does it cost?
It is free to register and add your details to the Adventurexchange database. In order to obtain email addresses from the Adventurexchange database an annual fee of US$10 is required. To obtain this facility please follows the details given when the annual membership button is click. On acceptance of your annual fee you will be able to send unlimited emails to any other member registered on the Adventurexchange database.

2 Troubleshooting

2.1 I’ve forgotten my password.
If you have forgotten your password then click here to get your password resent to your registered email address.
2.2

My email address is changed, Do I need to register again?
You can change your email address at any time without to having to register again. Just click on the ‘change email’ buttons and follow the prompts. A validation code will then be sent to your new email address, which will then be required to access the Adventurexchange database.

I’ve registered but I can’t get back to the Adventurexchange database.
To access the Adventurexchange database you need to go to the homepage and enter your email address and password that you used to register with in the Login section. If this does not help then contact the support team by clicking here.

I have paid for annual registration but I’m being asked to pay again.
Check that you are logged on under the correct name. If you are using a shared PC then you may be logged in under someone else’s details. You may have recently changed your email address and be using your old contact details by mistake. Try using your latest contact email. If you are still having problems then our support team will be able to help.
If you have paid for annual registration it may be likely that your payment has not yet been received (have you received confirmation of payment from Paypal or WorldPay ?). If not then you should try again. If the payment was successful then email our support team with your details and the transaction IDF number and they will let you know when the problem is rectified.

Why has the person I contacted via Adventurexchange database not replied to my email.
When contacting people via the Adventurexchange website your email will be sent to that persons registered email address. It is possible that they have changed their email address and not updated the database. Registered email addresses are our only way of contacting people on the Adventurexchange database. It maybe worth trying to contact them from time to time incase they decide to update their email address on the Adventurexchange database. Also, they may only check their email account from time to time or have not got around to replying to your email as yet.

3 Annual Registrations and Payments

How do I obtain my annual registration?
Registration can be obtained for the annual fee of $10 by clicking the annual registration icon on the homepage. Annual registration can be obtained online using a credit/debit card or your bank account details. Please be ensured that our payment transfer company, Paypal, use the latest encryption technology and secure servers to ensure the safety of your transactions.

I just paid for my annual registration but I still can’t send emails?
Following the payment for your annual registration you would have receives immediate confirmation of the transaction from Paypal. If you did not receive this email it is likely that the transaction was not successful and that you should try again. If you did receive the confirmation email then please send your details along with the transaction ID to our support team by clicking here.

I paid my annual registration a while ago but I’m being asked to pay again.

Will my membership be automatically renewed next year?
No.
We will send you a reminder by email when your membership expires. However, it is your choice if you want to renew for another year. Please be assured that we do not store your credit card/bank account details and will never take another payment unless initiated by you.

How do I send an email to another person registered on the Adventurexchange database?
In order to send emails you need to have obtained your annual membership. If you would like instructions for applying for annual membership then click here. Once annual registration is being obtained, you can send an email to any other person on the Adventurexchange database by clicking on their email address. The person that you have sent your email to will receive the text that you have written, showing as if it is sent from your email address and showing your name as a contact in the subject heading of the email.

Can I send an email to a group of people at the same time?
Bulk email facilities are not available on this site, such facilities would put our members at risk from unsolicited Spam emails.
There is no way we could be certain that the member wishing to bulk email was bonafide or not.

Can I send photo or attachment with my email?
No.
Attachment cannot be added to contact emails sent through Adventurexchange, as these would make the site vulnerable to infection from viruses. However, after the initial email contact, you will be connecting with your contact by a normal email and will then be able to add attachment.

5 Adding photos to trip galleries
5.1 How do I add a photo and text to the trip photo gallery?
Photos can be sent to the trip gallery section if you have applied for your annual registration.Click the trip gallery section and the upload image buttons and followed the prompt. You will be shown a preview of your image with the option to add some notes. Once you are happy with these hit the add image link and it will be loaded into the photo gallery immediately.
Any photographs deemed inappropriate will be removed from the photo gallery. The limit for the sized of a photo is 150kb. This limit is necessary to ensure the site response at a suitable speed. We currently only allow JPG (JPEG) or GIF Images to be loaded on to the site. We would recommend that you used JPG files if possible due to their smaller file size.
